FAQ

Are there tickets for children?

Children's fares and charges are half those of adults. (Children aged 6 but not yet in elementary school are categorized as toddlers.)
Prices are rounded up to the nearest 10 yen.

What is the difference between a regular ticket and limited express ticket?

A regular ticket is required when taking any Seibu Line train. The fare is based on the distance traveled.
In contrast, a limited express ticket is purchased in addition to a regular ticket when you take a limited express train.
Please note that two tickets are required when taking the Laview・Red Arrow Limited Express: a regular ticket and a limited express ticket.

Where can I purchase limited express tickets?

Limited express tickets can be purchased at stations that have limited express ticket sales counters.

Do fares vary with distance?

Yes. Fares vary because they are calculated based on the distance traveled.
For fares from the main stations, see the page below.

What is PASMO?

PASMO is an IC card system for payment of fares on main railways and buses in the metropolitan areas.
Just touching an automatic ticket gate at a station or a card reader on a bus will automatically deduct the fare from the card.
By reloading the card with money, you can use it repeatedly on trains and buses. It is convenient since you do not have to buy a ticket every time you take a train or bus. PASMO can also be used as electronic money for shopping at station stores.

Can I use a credit card to buy tickets?

You can use a credit card only for purchasing a commuter pass. You can use these cards: Saison, UC, Visa, and MasterCard.
Office hours for commuter pass sales are 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Credit cards can be used on self-service ticket machines until 11:00 PM.
Please note that a credit card cannot be used to purchase train tickets other than a commuter pass.
